On Monday, the major U.S. stock indexes opened higher as beaten-down megacap growth stocks rose and Meta Platforms soared on reports of more layoffs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up by 18.12 points, or 0.05%, at 33,887.39.
The S&P 500 began higher by 6.16 points, or 0.15 percent, at 4,096.62, while the Nasdaq Composite opened higher by 40.97 points, or 0.35 percent, at 11,759.09.
